about
Little Bird is an apology to Durriwiyn’s inner-child. The track explores the feelings of inadequacy associated with failing to meet the expectations of his younger self.
The track’s multiple layers, deep-rooted lyrics and ambient bass line will give listeners a look into the intricacies of Durriwiyn’s perspective. He encourages listeners to truly engage with the track in its entirety to see not only anger, but also the hope that things will get better.
“I want my music to heal people. I've always been big on that. I want them to feel safe in it, like I'm speaking for them without them having to say it. But I want people to be able to hear the song, feel what I'm saying but then for it to just sit with them, knowing that it's okay for them to feel that way and they don't have to necessarily say it.”
lyrics
Little bird, I'm not your savior.
Little bird I’m not the one.
Days just pass me bye without any light
and now I’m hiding in the dark.
I searched the world for answers
Now I’m lost in doubt.
I’m running blind in it seems,
in the highest clouds.
I never wanted nothing,
someone let me down.
Now I have to find my way out.
Out~
Little bird I’m not the answer.
Little bird I’m not your grace here.
Please don’t come to me and then you let me sacrifice
all the good energy that’s in your eyes.
I searched the world for answers
and now I’m lost in doubt.
I’m running blind in it seems,
in the highest clouds.
I never wanted nothing,
someone let me down.
Now I have to find my way out.
Out~
I searched the world for answers and now I’m lost in doubt.
Im running blind in it seems, in the highest clouds.
I never wanted nothing, someone let me down.
Now I have to find my way out.
